The underground railroad was a network of people across Wisconsin.
In big cities, Lake Michigan harbors, small town houses and shops, and
one-room cabins on the open prairie, freedom-loving Wisconsin citizens
hid and helped fugitive slaves.
This map and the stories that surround it will guide you along the route
